Newbie Hunting

Hello, Everyone 

This year is my first year hunting what should i been doing before i hit the field,
also ideas on how to find hunting location my brother and I never hunt before we just got our license.
What gears we need I been checking online and it lots like we have to pack lots gears and food.

I need someone to give me their first day experience hunting what they did , what type of gears were missing , what advise you give us 
for our first hunting season.
