Falling leaves and temperatures mark the change of angling seasons. The exodus of sailboats and powerboats at marinas prompts anglers to prepare for the predictable availability of rainbow and brown in the Niagara region. Brandon Desantis has posted the dates for the popular One Day Shore Derbies held in Port Dalhousie. Check our minutes for dates at scgameandfish.net/minutes.html and rules at www.niagarafishing.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=14334The SCG&F Fall Derby winners will be honored at our next general club meeting Monday October 27th at 7:30. Two avid anglers that put a lot of time on the water were successful at winning two prizes each! A mail out to all members contained a notice of Joe Montgomery’s Ice Fishing Seminar scheduled for December 4th at the CAW Hall on Bunting Road. Discounted advance tickets will be available at popular tackle stores or directly from Joe. Plan to attend our November 24th general meeting for a Chinook pen rearing presentation by Al Van Dusen. Al will draw on his experiences with pen rearing projects on the north shores of Lake Ontario, providing a wealth of information to assist the SCG&F with our potential project. We welcome your feedback, suggestions and questions. Please contact us at st.catharinesgamefishasso@bellnet.ca .
