Our final club meeting for 2008 will be held Monday November 24th at 7:30.
Al Van Dusen will be the guest speaker, sharing his knowledge and experiences in Pen Imprinting. A practice used extensively by our US neighbours, is now finding inroads in Lake Ontario stocking programs. Nurturing Chinook fry for about six weeks beyond the normal stocking date provides an improved sport fishery. This is measured two ways. One is a higher survival rate with larger and more robust fry. Secondly, the fry imprint on the site release waters to ensure they return when mature.
