General Meeting Minutes

Present: Tom C., Mark P., Bruce M., Paul P. Dagmar M., John M., Darryl D., George D., Steve J., Dave M.
1. Jerry M.: Pen Project
The Pen Project needs a volunteer to head the project as Jerry and Norm are stepping down.
2. Reel Buddies Tournament Team
They have committed to continue to support the Pen Project with financial donation.
3. Guest Speaker: Ron Arnold, MNR Conservation Officer for Niagara
Ron is responsible for enforcing all hunting and fishing regulations as well as education in these areas. The Conservation Officers are in tough times right now with the Provincial government. They have partnered with the RCMP and Niagara Regional Police in several areas of enforcement, including the southern marine enforcement unit. He is involved in the Great Lakes monitoring program as well as monitoring commercial fishing on Lake Erie. He is regularly checking border crossings for invasive species. He is involved in education programs for children in natural resources. Ron answered many questions from a very interested audience.
