In anticipation of the pending open water angling season (2 months to our spring derby), we set about attending spring outdoors shows and retailer sales, which inevitably leads to acquiring new goodies and the culling of current inventories. I ask you to consider donating those retired pieces to Tackle Share, a partnership of the St. Catharines Game & Fish Association and the St. Catharines Library. We happily accept all outdoors items .....fishing gear, camping gear, hunting gear, canoeing & boating equipment, electronics, etc. All items will be offered for sale at the Niagara Outdoors Show March 12th to help those with smaller budgets enjoy the outdoors. The funds raised facilitate the purchase of new junior fishing packages and life jackets, which are inventoried at several library branches to be loaned out to families. Many have followed up with purchasing their own equipment and joined the ranks of avid anglers.
The Tackle Share Donation barrels will be in place at Peter's Tackle (Feb 6th) and Grimsby Tackle (Feb 10th).
