Time to tie a top water pattern that provides that extra adrenaline rush when you illicit a surface strike.
The Dahlberg Slider is an adaption of the namesake "Diver" that maintains a surface presence. Exercise your preference of colour and size to suit your quarry.
Tying materials will include deer (body) hair, and your choice of tailing material including marabou, rabbit strip, hackle feathers, deer (tail) hair or any combination of these. Don't forget some flashabou to add temptation to your offering. Longer streamer hooks will facilitate larger heads for optional more buoyancy. And of course a mono weed guards can be included for those angling heavy cover.
