Feb. 26, 2018
Present: Darryl Day, Randy Hudspith, Tom Copeland, Ken York, Lyle Gayder, Dave Hill, Steve Jablonski, Janet Melanson, Jerry Mitrovich, Aldo Nava, Paul Paulin,
Mary Shultz, Chad Thorne.

1. Darryl introduced the committees and chairs
- Clubhouse, Ramp and Yard - Chair - Randy
- Derbies - Chair - Mark
- Kids Day - Chair - Janet
- Website and Social Media - Chair - Mark
- Admin and Treasurer - Chair - Tom
- Club Social Activities - Chair - Chad
- Tackle Share - Chair - Jerry
- Pen Project - Chair - Jerry
2. 2nd VP Randy
- Washrooms - Looking into options on upgrading
- Motion to upgrade to a flushable unit, passed
- Recommend repainting of lines, cleaning of ramp house exterior, stain deck, new signage, new picnic tables and refurbish wheelchair ramp to clubhouse
- Lawn and yard maintenance - Looking into options
- Dock entry - looking to get docks installed mid to late March depending on weather conditions, also schedule property clean up same day
- BBQ needs maintenance
3. Kids Day
- Looking at options due to projected high water levels- Move location/date
- recommendation to move the date to later in the year due to high water levels predicted again this spring
- Janet to set new date asap
- Add rule to state that kids under 16 require to be supervised by an adult
4. Derbies
- Spring derby to run April 7 - June 9
- Fall derby has been combined with summer derby
- New leaderboard has been created
- Recommendation to have leaderboard updated regularly twice weekly on Monday and Friday
- Promote early bird draw
- New members early bird draw
- Derby tickets now available at Peters and Grimsby Tackle
5. Promotional Opportunities
- Bass pro has offered a table to sell derby tickets, memberships ect. weekend of March 10-11
- Peters tackle open house April 7
6. Website and Social Media
- New logo - Aldo volunteered to create a few options for review
- New leaderboard and system for updating
- Emphasis on photos of entries
- Regular derby updates
- upgrade ramp phone to smartphone - Bill Ball has one to donate
7. Treasurer Report
- Taxes have been straightened out
- We have $73,493 in the bank
- Total assets are $113,168
- Last years net income was $25,153
- Get caught up on commission checks to ticket sales outlets
8. Social Club Activities
- Chad heading up social committee
- Contact Chad with any ideas
9. Pen Project
- Pens moving to the marina
- Lyle has come on board as a mentor for the program
- looking for volunteers to help feed and clean pens if interested contact Jerry
10. GAMRU Donation
- $10,000 donation
- Need big novelty cheque made up
- Potential for media coverage
11 Tackle Share
- Sale will be on March 11 at Fort Erie outdoor show
- looking for someone to take over the program
- Doug Week volunteered to assist
12 Lifetime Members
- Invite members to attend march meeting for presentation of lifetime memberships
- Tom has done up lifetime membership cards
