Greetings Everyone!
You may not believe it if you look out the window, but it is mid April already and there is lots going on!
* We had a great turn out at our March Meeting at the Rib Crib & smokehouse. Some of the hilights included a great presentation from Joselyn on electronics, we had the pleasure of presenting a $10,000 donation to the GAMRU South Shore Rescue Unit and Tim Versvis was the Spring Salmon Derby Early Bird Draw winner, taking home a new Scotty Electric Downrigger. Bill Ball won the membership draw for a Free ramp pass.
* A big thanks from Jerry for all those who donated used gear towards Tackle share, we were able to raise more funds towards this project!
* As a precaution to the unknown water levels in the harbour this Spring, Kids Day for 2018 is being postponed to Sat Sept 15. More details to come soon!
* Rainbows & Browns trout have been stocked in the harbour and our chinook salmon are swimming in the pens for the next few weeks!
* The 43rd Annual Spring Salmon Derby is underway! The leaderboard can be found on our website here: LEADER BOARD. Also please find & follow our Spring Salmon Derby Page on Facebook for pictures & updates. A special thanks to Dave Hill for building a new leaderboard at the ramp and to Dilts Pistons & Hydraulics for donating the materials.
* For all guides & charter boats, those who have purchased Boat Tickets please be sure that we have added you on our listing here CHARTER LISTING IF YOUR NOT LISTED HERE PLEASE CONTACT US WITH PROOF OF YOUR BOAT TICKET AND WE'LL ADD YOU. WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
* Coming up during the May long weekend is the 5th Annual Port Dalhousie 3x3 Salmon Classic! Rules, details & registration can be found here:
3X3 SALMON CLASSIC TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE RAMP, PETERS TACKLE, & GRIMSBY TACKLE NEXT WEEK. FOR THOSE REGISTERING ONLINE, YOUR TICKETS WILL AVAILABLE TO PICK UP SAT MAY 19 AT THE LAUNCH RAMP SHACK IN PORT DALHOUSIE
* A reminder for those visiting us in Port Dalhousie that we accept cash only at the ramp.
