Thank you team for stepping up and maintaining our Chinook Pen Imprinting Project!
Despite a cold start and threatening weather we managed to take 65,000 fry at an average of 3.00 grams and smolt them out to be released 4 weeks later at an average weight of 5.902 grams, almost double in size.
Some heavy lifting is ahead for volunteers that will be getting the pens out of the water and back to storage. Lyle and I will be reviewing opportunities to improve the project next year to ensure our success continues at this new site. If you have any ideas for us to consider, please don't hold back and telephone or email us with the details. Small improvements often provide great rewards ..... and we have a whole network of pen sites on both sides of the border that will benefit.

The pens are in the compound waiting for their cleanup & mothballing for another season. Thank you to Bruce Miller, Fern Stewart, Dave Hill, John Gayder, Jeff Fossey, Marcel Clement & Rick Leigh for their time today. May your angling efforts be rewarded!
