Planning Meeting Minutes
June 25, 2018
Present: Darryl Day, Mark Penner, Tom Copeland, Ken York, Lyle Gayder, Dave Hill, Jerry Mitrovitch, Aldo Nava, Paul Paulin, Mary Schultz, Shane Thombs, Chad Thorne
1. Darryl - 2nd VP update
- Washrooms have been updated and now have 2 on site
- Yard maintenance being done on a as needed basis
- Access dock to emergency dock has been installed
- Deck has been stained
- Pot hole in parking lot by exit needs repair
- City tour of property being set up
2. Jerry - Pen Project
- Went smoothly at new site location
- Offer to transport fish out of the harbour to release next year
- Release weight was 5.9 grams
- 65,000 pen fry this year
3. Kids Day
- Great response so far
- Pre-registration has started
- Planning meeting coming up late July early August
- Possibility of opening up Rennie Park for fishing
4. Financial Update - Tom
- We have about $83,000 in the bank
- Net worth is about $106,000 and total assets about $128,000
5. Derbies - Mark
- Spring derby had excellent sales
- Summer derby now up and running
- Looking at a new venue and date for awards banquet
- 61 teams entered in 3X3 derby- new record!
6. Website and Social Media
- going well
- looking to ramp up advertising for kids day
7. Social Club Activities - Chad
- Members BBQ to be held on August 18
8. Walleye Outing - Shane
- September 8 HH knoll park in Port Colborne
- Total weight of 4 walleye
- 6 rod maximum per boat
- 100% payout
- registration cut off at 6:10 am, blast off at 6:30am return at 1:00pm
- social get together after weigh in, bbq/fish fry
- $60.00 per boat and $20.00 optional big fish

9. Tackle Share - Jerry
- Old tackle boxes for sale at a cost of $5.00
- continuing to canvas for used equipment
10. Coho Head Collection - Jerry
- Not much response so far
11. New Business
- Request to have a banner put up on fence advertising see doo rentals
- August 25 catch the fry derby
- Salmon dance July 21
