Greetings everyone!
May is here, while the weather is still cool, the salmon fishing has been HOT the past few weeks.
It’s been great seeing many of you at our launch ramp already this season. A gentle reminder to all to please be prompt, courteous and respectful when using the ramp & property, especially during busy peak times to allow a smooth flow of traffic.
The Spring Salmon Derby is in week 3 now, and the leader board is starting to fill up. We remind you that we try to update our online leaderboard found here each Monday & Friday as we are able to receive & verify entries. scgfa.ca/leaderboards/spring-derby-leaderboard/
The 6th Annual Port Dalhousie 3x3 Salmon Classic will soon be here! We remind you that registration this year is at the ramp shack and online only. Cutoff deadline is THURS MAY 16 5PM. Dont delay!
Entry fee is still $50 per boat, and New this year we are offering an optional deal where you can get a 3 day launch ramp pass included with your entry fee for $75. (Save $20)
We are also excited to have OMC Food Co Food Truck on site for the final weigh in on Monday afternoon

We will soon be releasing chinook salmon fry that have been feeding in our Pens the last few weeks. Big thanks to our team for caring them!
Over the years we have been fortunate to have many great members in club who have contributed so much in many ways. This year we are starting a Members Memorial Salmon Slam (MMSS) to honor them and to as well raise some money for future club projects. It will run from Sat May 25 to Sun June 30.
Entry Fee is $50 per boat . Over those 5 weeks, each boat may enter one Salmon per week Sat-Fri (no minimum size) Scales close on Sun June 30 at 5pm The total weight of all 5 Salmon will win. Payout Structure is 1st PLACE - $500 (DONATED BY HARTZEL AUTO & MARINE) + 40%, 2ND 30 % AND 3RD PLACE 10% . Remaining 30% to go into project fund. Everyone is welcome to compete but registered captain must be a 2019 member. Registration & weigh in for the MMSS at Ramp Shack only. You may enter the same fish in either the Spring or Summer Derbies as along as all rules are followed. Any other questions can be directed to Randy Hudspith
