We had perfect conditions for the pen imprint fry release last night. Special thanks to the dependable volunteers that helped throughout the process and especially again today ..... Norm Ciupak, Bill Andrews, Bruce Miller, George Deliman, Dave Hill , Paul Paulin, and "old" Harry to supervise. Also Cogeco was there to to get the next chapter for their coverage. The fry averaged 2.65g on delivery April 11th, were 3.69g on April 30th and a whopping 6.15g on release May 12th. Many helping hands have ensured the ultimate success of the project and that the learning curve was not too steep. THANK YOU TO ALL!

Congrats to all who got this project underway . It was facinating to watch these little fry grow and see them swarm over the food each feeding . I believe we have a great place to keep the fish healthy with the falls creating a good flow of oxygen and having cool water temperatures .The mortality rate was almost zero and the released fish looked very healthy . I'm sure we will be catching some of these fish in Port Dalhousie harbour when they mature and it will be nice to see the results of this project .
