2009 Calcutta
Well not too much interest in the Calcutta this year. I know that many wanted an earlier start but lack of volunteers to help with the tournament dictated we run with the regular weekend crew. Thanks to the ramp guys Tom C. and Don S. for putting in an extra long shift at the ramp to help out. A special thank you to Dan A. for taking time to drive from Fort Erie at the last minute to assist.
With the stable weather during the week the pattern was becoming more consistent and catches were improving. Everyone was expecting a banner day Saturday, but it proved to be challenging. Success varied by team with most reporting smaller specimens of all species being caught.
John’s numerous outings this week helped Team Nasty Boys develop a successful strategy resulting in their win.
The top three fish were:
Nasty Boys 21.18
Trophy Fish 17.30
Reel Wild 13.74 .
