We had great weather for our Kids Day Derby finally, as it has been cold and rainy for the last few years. Our turn out was down this year due to the ad I believe in the paper saying that the Cat Fish Derby is canceled in Port Dalhousie and many people get us mixed up with that each year. So spread the word we will be open again next year for a fun day for the Kids the first Saturday in May. Those who did show up had a great day and went home with many great prizes.
I want to thank all the volunteers that come out each year to help with the set up and the day of the derby. If it were not for them we could not put on this event. So a huge hug to you all from me (Dagmar). Also on the same line of thought if it were not for our sponsors again the event could not be held, thanks to all of them and I do hope that the members will support their business.
