Hit a spot today I saw Ham&Eggs catchin a few dink perch. There was a tourist encouraging me to catch the carp because there were so bloody many surfacing. I think he really wanted a closer look. Well after 3 perch these bigger ones start surfacing and flipping their tail real hard. Kinda looked to be too silver for a perch but if they were, I was in a good pool of healthy sized ones. Caught 5 perch, 1 bluegill, one rockbass and one of those things that were splashing. I have now seen quite a few of these caught here and I am worried by the numbers I saw tonight. Their are plenty of them. So I figured if you got lemons, make lemonade right. What are the chances these things taste like crap? So instead of kill it and leave it; I brought it home for some fishcrisp. What I found out was that after you get past the first inch of back meat, you reach the rib bones. Follow them down and that's it! Nothing on the other side of the bone. There is two little strips of meat on these and the fish is packed full of crap inside. Caught all fish on tiny red worm from my composter. Stayed till I couldn't see my bobber then returned the little dinks I had in my bucket for another day.
