1.DG.: spring derby update
a. Leaders in each category to date
b. The # of fish entered in the 2008 spring derby as of this date was 38; the # entered this year to date is 30.
c. Prize presentation: June 22 at the CAW hall
d. Calcutta – 1 day derby – June 6th (wind date June 7), need help with ramp, registration, boat checks in and out, weigh-in. registration is the morning of the derby from 6am – 7:45 am. Prize payout is 60% for largest fish and 40% for 2nd largest.
2. TC: Treasurer’s Report
• Summary Balance Sheet handed out (cash basis as of May 25, 2009)
-Bank balance: $43,057.55
-Known expenses:
- Pen project: $4,512.
-Kids day: $5,500
-Spring derby: $10,000
-DeSantis prize: $1,300
-Known income:
-Derby tickets: $2,000
-Cash on hand: $1,000
-General bank balance: approx. $26,000.

3.JM: President’s Report
a. Pen imprinting
i. $1000 from GOSD if 10 tickets sold (9 bought so far, 14 promised)
ii. Thank you to volunteers, supporters and COGECO coverage
iii. Fish arrived at 2.65g and were released at 6.15g
iv. Feed the Fry Tournament: $1,425, plus $160 from Pat Kirby, plus $424.50 from Grimsby Tackle and Vitto D., and raffle raised $230, bbq $100+, and ramp was busy. We need more volunteers to run this event if we do it next year.
4.Other Business
a. TC/JM: kid’s day: St. Catharines Standard article referring to Port Dalhousie fishing tournament probably hurt our attendance. Sponsors liked what they saw on day of derby. Dagmar did a great job again organizing and running the day’s events.
b. The trailer used by Ringwood to transport fish fry is leaking and in need of of repair and paint: a weekend project for someone?
c. Dan A.: how can we open our internet site to more users?
d. Percy: Ontario Out of Doors Magazine have our name wrong in this month’s issue. He would like to have more “Game” activities and discussions within the club, instead of just fishing related. JM has requested volunteers to speak at meetings regarding “Game” issues but rarely does anyone step forward.
