As part of our club mandate to support the sport of angling, a $2,000.00 donation was made to Ringwood Culture Station to complete repairs and maintenance on the tanker trailer used to transport fish for stocking. Pictured left to right are Tom Copeland, Treasurer SCG&F, Andy Rubaszek, Ringwood Operations Coordinator, and Jerry Mitrovich, President SCG&F.

I could not resist adding a copy of the following post from the Ringwwod web site. This is but one voice for the many we are linked to in promoting and supporting the Lake Ontario fishery.
"Perhaps a little known fact is that The St. Catharines Game and Fish Association has been a supporter of the stocking programs at the Ringwood F.C.S. long before the MNR decided to shut it down in 2006.
The trailer that is being used at Ringwood has been proudly displaying the SCG&F banner since they DONATED IT for the stocking programs a long, long time ago. They have proven, both in the past and in the present, that they care a great deal about the future state of Lake Ontario's Sportsfishing. In a world where arm chair critics are a dime a dozen the SCG&F have always been pro-actively seeking out ways to help our fishery and for that I am very grateful.
As Glenn has mentioned their are a number of Clubs that all deserve our appreciation and we are truly stronger when we work together for the betterment of fishing for all.
Looking forward to seeing your group again Jerry this spring when we come out to stock your pen and your stretch of Lake Ontario."
Thanks again.
