Well, it is almost that time of year. Time to go to Ringwood and help clip 80,000 Chinook fry in preparation for Pen Imprint projects. Our project is being increased this year from 10,000 fry to 20,000 fry. That's a lot of adipose fins to be clipping for just our site, and a prerequisite to penning fry.
The dates are March 22 to March 26 inclusive. Volunteers should be aware that this is an all day commitment with a 2 hour drive there and back. You should EMAIL me with your availability and whether or not you will be a car pool driver. Gas expense will be reimbursed by the Pen Imprint project. I will manage the scheduling in conjunction with Andy at Ringwood to ensure resources are fully utilized. Everyone may not necessarily go the same day.
Last year there were 12 volunteers, so I hope we can at least double up for 2010. Each volunteer will get an email confirming scheduling as the date nears.
Spouses and friends that you can include would be most welcome!
