Right here in our backyard.
A section of the shoreline of 15 Mile creek was completely stripped bare by a landowner last fall. All vegetation on the slope, shoreline and waterfront was stripped. No erosion controls were put in place and habitat was ripped out of the water. Reports have been filed with the NPCA, DFO and MNR. This was a major spawning location for a number of lake run species like shiners, perch and big cats, and home to some of the rarer forms of wildlife found in the region. That spawning bed has been seriously damaged. Hopefully, the powers that be, with a little public pressure, will set things right and correct the parties responsible.

It was a sickening sight to see ! I have visited this place for many decades & it was a pleasure to fish there and listen to the sounds of the wild life that lives & visits the pond year after year . We cannot allow people to be so careless with OUR waterways ! We plan on making lots of noise & spread the word on the net or any media at our disposal to get this rectified .
