This was caught by my daughter today. She was so excited that she fell back on her butt and kept on reeling and reeling. It was so cute to see this, I wish I had a video camera. She finally landed this fish around 7:30 p.m. Dyan will be weighing in her bow tomorrow morning. It weighed 14 1/2 lbs when landed. Watch out boys because she goes for the Salmon next week. Rob!

Can anyone let me know where the shakespeare rod and reel combo for the fish of the week prize was purchased? I would like to upgrade it to the penn reel and thunderstick combo but have no idea where it can be returned for an upgrade. Went to Peter's tackle and the shakespeare combo wasn't purchased from them.
Thanks Captinden

The Penn reel and Shakespeare rod combos were donated directly from the vendor, Pure Fishing. Post on the For Sale board and you may find one of the other winners wants to pair up his outfit.

Mine was a shakespeare reel. Was it supposed to be a Penn?

I may have erred in referencing last year's details. Not positive on what package Pure Fishing put together this year. My "bad" if I was wrong.

I understand. Mistakes do happen. If I may suggest that maybe next year if you have the big fish of the week prize it would be better to offer the 250.00 in certificates with bonus prizes and then there would be no discrepencies. I feel very lucky to have won something and feel privalaged to be part of the club and only suggest this in the betterment of the club. Afterall a 180 dollar short fall is quite substantial. Thanks Captinden
