Lately we've been getting Jacks on the Upper Niagara River but once the word got out the regular spots saw buckets loads of perch hauled off and soon there were nothing but dinks. Seems like the jacks only want the small minnows and the dinks take what's left over. Well during our search for more Jacks I switched to a slip float and large minnow because large is all I had left. Immediately hit two nice cats. Kept one and the other released itself. Got home to taste one and it was superb so me and the little guy headed out this morning and he showed me how the big ones wouldn't get away. Boy not only did it take over an hour to clean them but my hands hurt from getting pricked!
