Greetings All: I have just received word that in addition to the Monday, Aug. 2 fundraiser with Dean Allison in Beamsville from 4-6 PM, MP Candice Hoeppner (who is sponsoring private member's Bill C-391 to scrap the long gun registry) will also be making an appearance the same day in Welland. Details for both events are as follows: WELLAND, ON When - Monday, Aug. 2, 11:00 AM Where - Royal Canadian Legion, 383 Morningstar Ave., Welland, ON Format - Mrs. Hoeppner will be addressing the audience with an update on the legislation as it moves to third reading in Parliament. There will be a question and answer forum after the address and light refreshments will be served. For more information call John at 289-836-9538. BEAMSVILLE, ON When - Monday, Aug. 2, 4-6 PM Where - The Butcher & Banker Restaurant, 4520 Ontario St., Beamsville Format - This is a meet & greet with an opportunity to speak to Ms. Hoeppner about the current status of Bill C-391. Cost is $50 which includes food and you will get a $30 tax contribution receipt. Seating is limited so please call Dean Allison's office (905-563-7900) to reserve your spot. It is critical that we get as many shooters, hunters and other concerned citizens out to these meetings as possible to send a clear message to our local MPs to support the repeal of the long gun registry. Thanks for your help. Gerry Gamble
