Hit the upper river on saturday. Best action was on tube jugs in approx 18 feet of water in front of the old sailing club dock near Black creek. Many nice fish in the 3-4 lb. range.
On sunday, went off Crystal beack and headed towards waverly shoal. Fishing was slow but a beautiful day to be out with the family. Started at 40 ft and worked shallower. Best action was around the rocks in 14 feet. Tube jigs and white twister tailsworked well. Many 3-4 lbers - lost a nice 5+ lber - the best fish of the day - at the boat (isn't that always the case!)

Thanks for the report John! Always good to hear about the warm water fishery which seems to take a back seat to the trout & salmon. With the great weather we have been having the fall opportunities should be fantastic as they put on the feedbag for winter. Bait fish are plentiful and P.D. is loading up with perch and bass before the fall spawning runs impede their accessibility. This is a good time for young anglers fishing from shore to hone their skills.

Nice report on the upper river and beach area. Brings back alot of memories of biking to the creek's to fish and swimming @ Waverly before the signs went up.
