That's neat for sure and here's another water bottle trick I figured out last summer up north with the kids. I took a water bottle with the lid on filled with tap water and placed it on the coals of the campfire when it was time to call it quits thinking when this thing melts it'll put out those coals. Well guess what as long as the top was on tight that thing wouldn't melt, it just sat there in red hot coals for an hour. Strange but true

Some more "magic" of science. A word of caution. If the principles are the same as the frozen water, I would not handle the bottle left in the coals for fear it will suddenly melt or even explode.
