While many boaters have a radio in their boat, many have not acquired the necessary license to legally" operate one.
Evidence suggests the authorities are abandoning their lax enforcement and issuing expensive fines to those not complying.
There are a number of resources available to address this need. However with the potential to have our own class at the clubhouse, we are canvassing for individuals to sign up to form a class.
Instruction and testing would over two Tuesday evenings 7:00 to 9:00 pm at a cost of $65.00 each, or $60.00 if the class exceeded 12 individuals.
Non-members are also welcome!
