With Christmas out of the way, many will be sorting through their gear to find room for the new "stuff" we received as gifts from our wish list. Please don't bury in a closet or toss those items worthy of a new home. At SCG&F we continue to accept used gear to support our Tackle Share Program. Items that cannot be utilized for the program are sold at our flea market to raise funds for items we don't have in inventory. Your support is appreciated.
Along with the expected terminal tackle, rods and reels, we can also use working point and shoot cameras to ensure fishing experiences are captured for their treasured memories. The club will facilitate prints on an individual basis. Any outdoor gear is acceptable.
I am currently in talks with the local library to facilitate the Tackle Share program, with the club responsible for inventory maintenance.
Also, should you find yourself with a wealth of hand tools, we can use some replacements. The ramp operation often assists boaters with their difficulties, but at times tools are not returned in the excitement of a repair.
Check the site calendar and posts regularly for garage sale dates for some opportunity buys that will support club projects.
