Been out the last two days and have found it very tough. our nice water has left Canada. I took a trip to the hot spot at the bar yesterday early am and found very clear water and few marks. fished with out a hit for a half an hour or so, had a bad feeling about it so we picked up and came back to the canal hoping there would be some green water coming from it. pretty clear there too and maybe fewer marks. we hooked up one king in 90fow and lost it and then caught 2 lakers. all fish on spinnys and that was it for the morning.
After some research I had a plan for this morning. I headed 3 miles east of the Red can and very deep. Solo. fished 280fow. when I arrived I was getting hooks on the screen down 240-250feet. I dropped a rigger to 170 and it fired right away. that rigger would be the only rod to move today and it fired 5 times and I boated 4 kings under 10Lbs. Not the fish I was looking for but at least on this day I got some silver in the boat. All hits came between 170 and 220 feet down. I also learned today that I only have 230 feet of cable on my rigger. good thing there is a good knot at the end. lol

You can tell that Ethan was not seriously fishing. He goes shoeless when he really wants to catch the bigguns. Nice pics there, thx. Sure is scary seeing the end of any line, be it rod or downrigger.
