Hi All:
Sorry this has taken a while but I couldn't send it out until the minutes for the May 24 Regional Council meeting were posted.
Negotiations have now begun for the sale & transfer of the Niagara Regional Police Revolver Club property from the Region to the club. It will likely be a drawn out process given all the loose ends that have to be tied up and the final transfer isn't expected till perhaps October. Nevertheless things are moving in the right direction which is good news.
At some point in time the final agreement will have to go back to Council for approval. We do not anticipate any problems but it is still judicious of us to let Councillors know that we are still following the procedure.
To that end I am asking you to contact the councillors who supported us (list below), thank them and ask for their continued support when the negotiations reach their conclusion. Phone calls are fine but the easiest route is probably e-mail.
If you go to this page:
niagararegion.ca/search/default.aspx?TextBox1=councillor+email
you can click on each Concillor's name and then their e-mail and send them a short "thank you" message. You might want to add a couple of extra words for Bruce Timms and Andy Petrowski who have been our standard bearers throughout this entire exercise.
Councillor Augustyn
Councillor Kormos
Councillor Badawey
Councillor Lepp
Councillor Barrick
Councillor Martin
Councillor D’Angela
Councillor Maves
Councillor Diodati
Councillor McMullan
Councillor Eke
Councillor Petrowski
Councillor Hodgson
Councillor Sharpe
Councillor Jeffs
Councillor Teal
Councillor Joyner
Councillor Timms
Councillor Katzman
Councillor Volpatti
Thanks.
Gerry G.
