Last week I managed to spend time with the family at an in law's cottage and get in a few hours of fly fishing with my son Matt. A small spring fed Muskoka lake with Rock, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, and Lakers in the depths. Minimal structure challenged our standard approach and our quarry was typically under two pounds. The best action was with my PDP bugger, but I tried switching for a magic pattern as we moved to deeper waters. A Yellow Zonker proved to be the winner with a 22 inch Largie. My best fish on a fly. What a blast on my 6wt outfit. This small success has rekindled my plans to spend more time fly fishing, and tying flies over the winter. THE COTTAGE THE FISH THE SUNSET

Them are some beautiful pics. The sunset is awesome. If that is a cottage, could you imagine the houseboat?
