The "world" was upside down today. Managed a few hours this morning straight out from Port Dalhousie, working a bit east. Set up in 75 FOW and worked out to 180. A few bites to start, but my rubber hooks were no match for the quarry. Finally started to hook up in 150 FOW while on a north to south troll. Rainbows came at 90 feet down, Browns were at 35 to 40 and Kings were in between. Lots of big Bows and the two Browns were really fat. Biggest King to the boat was only a teenager. And of course the "big one" spit the hook after doing battle for close to 10 minutes. A real heart breaker. Hopefully there will be more opportunities in the next few weeks to land an entry.

I seem to use the same rubber hooks on them browns. Good to see you out there trying to get that boat just a little dirty with the scent of fish. Tried to race you back to port but my 9 hp merc was just not up to the task when the main motor loss power.

How does one keep track daily of the top weight entries in the 2012 fall salmon derby ? SCGFA doesn't seem to post this on their website . Do you have to phone one of the weigh stations daily for this info. ?
