General Meeting Minutes
June 25, 2012
Present: Tom C., Paul P., George D., Charlie C., Mary S., John M., Dagmar M., Norm C., Bruce M., Mark P.
1. Jerry Mitrovich’s resignation as President of SCG&FA, due to personal reasons, was announced to the general membership. Jerry plans to continue helping at the ramp, with the tackle share program and with the pen project.
2. It was announced that there would not be a Member’s derby this summer, but a derby committee has been formed and is working on the details of our fall derby. Details will be posted on the website when available.
3. J Rocks Pizza & Wings Restaurant asked if they could put up a sign at the ramp in exchange for a $500 donation to the club. They would also like to help out at our Kids Day Derby.
4. Joe Montgomery is now at home recovering.
5. Grimsby Tackle will be running a series of Saturday Salmon Derbies throughout the summer. See their website or visit the store for details.
6. Our tackle share program will be operating out of the Grantham branch of the St. Catharines Library when it opens. Larry Darbyson and Jerry M. will look after the club’s responsibilities with the library.

8. Feature Speaker: Brent Bochek of FISH NV
- Brent is a multi-species guide, fishing the Kawartha Lakes & the Niagara River for Musky and Lake Ontario for Salmon & Trout
- Brent brought a selection of his musky lures and led an informative interactive discussion of the equipment and techniques used to catch musky, salmon, trout and walleye
