Executive meeting.
The derby committee consisting of Mark Penner, John Mastrandrea, Jerry Mitrovich, Norm Ciupak, Don Schultz, and Mary Schultz.
Mark and John reported that they have to this date secured $5000.00 in sponsor prizes and requested that we remove rule 26 ( the keeping of fish) decided by majority yes.
Suggested that the web site not be so restrictive and allow visitors to basic information. Jerry Mitrovich stated that it might effect people from registering and effect our mass mailing .
The spring derby will run from April 13th.to June 8th. After which there will be a members only derby, a separate ticket must be purchased, salmon only, prize structure same as our fall derby 100% pay back. More details to follow as prizes may be added.
Also suggested an early bird draw for tickets purchased before start of spring derby details are pending.
Jerry Mitrovich suggested that we rent the Legion hall for our meeting as it may increase attendance do to facilities available. Majority in favor Jerry will pursue the matter. Cost of renting as low as $50.00 per night or a donation to legion. Jerry will inform members via. Email if next meeting in February will be at Legion.
Norm Ciupak gave a report on the fish pens we will have 4 pens and possible we may get more fish.
Jerry Mitrovich asked if anyone would be interested in building and maintaining Wood Duck boxes.
Dagmar Miller gave a report on Kids Day Derby and that next year will be her last year for looking after derby and hopes someone comes forward to replace her.
Docks to go in March 23rd. If Gilbert is available George Deliman to look after this matter.
Bruce Miller to purchase material necessary to install steps at side door.
Discussion to cancel telephone and internet and replace with a cell phone, at present costing club $2000.00 plus per year. Tom Copeland to pursue matter and make the change.
Tom Copeland gave the financial report, bank balance being $45,381.99.
Larry Darbyson reported the tackle share is a success and the Library pleased with results. There were 36 tackle loans last year with very little loss of tackle, a few hooks sinkers etc.
As only 3 more members showed up for the regular meeting the minutes of executive meeting were reviewed and open for discussion
