Hi All
Tonight Niagara Regional Council will decide yay or nay on the sale of the Niagara Regional Police Revolver Club to the members.
The negotiations are complete and the offer to purchase has been submitted. Now we just have to wait & see if Council approves the sale.
While we are cautiously optimistic, the sale is NOT a given and we would like to get people out so that Council members can see that the interest in seeing this sale finalized is still high.
Because it is a dispostion of real estate the actual debate will be in camera so we will not be able to watch it but the decision should be made public after the in camera discussion.
It could be a long night as the item is part way through the agenda so be prepared to stay till perhaps 10 or 11. It might be earlier but there is no way of knowing. Luckily Horton's is just across the street so there will be a good supply of caffeine to keep us awake.
If we win this it will be a tremendous boost for local shooters so if you can please try to make the time to come out & support the Councillors who have backed us through these long negotiations (it's been over a year and a half).
