After the shore derby ends, at 1:30 the St. Catharines Game and Fish Association will be dedicating a park bench to the memory of Peter Lee for his commitment and support to sport angling in the Niagara area. Hope to see many of you there.

Peter Lee Memorial On Shore Trout Derby Results
It was a fun day!!! Considering the little shower and no fish caught, the anglers had fun.
A total of 25 anglers entered the derby ending with a draw for the pots. At the end of the day, $240.00 was for the $10 pot, and $440.00 was raised for the $20 pot. At the end of the day we "drew sticks" with numbers the winner and a congratulations goes to Josef Dybisz of Hamilton taking home the $10 pot.
A big congratulations goes to Bob Joss for taking home the $440 for the $20 pot. The prizes goes as follows: John D'Amico won a 13ft Steelheaders float rod and Okuma reel combo courtsey of Peter's Tackle. Dustin Cline won a 10.5ft. Berkley Rod from Berkley (Dave Early). Caprise Beals won a Shimanio 8.5ft drifting rod from Grimsby Tackle. Jerry Mitrovich won a boat fire extinuisher from Regional Fire Services. Brandon Rudman won a electric fillet knife, Tony Lucciola won an electric scale. Al Butcher won a fishing pouch, and Matt Jackson and John Blacklock both won minnow bags all donated from the derby guy. Ivo Spirov, Bob Joss and Raymond Riley both won fillet knives from S.C.G.F. Jamie Teixeira, Sebastian Kosioroliski and Mike Morris all won a fish toss marker from S.C.G.F. Steve Robert won a haircut from Merriton Barber Shop. Congratulations everyone!
The 50/50 draw raised $64.00 for S.C.G.F. kids fish day. The winner of the draw was Al Butcher. congrats Al.

At the end of the derby, Jerry had the crew head down to the bench that S.C.G.F. donated with Peter Lee's name on it. Jerry made a beautiful presentation to Angela and her family. So when your fishing down at the east side of Port Dalhousie, make a point of stoping by the bench to remember a very very great man that enspired so many people in so many ways!
