With sadness, we share the passing of Roly Davis at 6:45 in Fort Erie. this morning. Roly was one of the regular fly tyers from the inception of the group, only missing once his health deteriorated.

Roland George 'Roly' Davis
DAVIS, Roland George 'Roly' - After a courageous battle, Roly passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on July 21st, 2013. Beloved husband of Lois. Proud father of Russell (Janet) Davis, Susan Davis and Louise Davis. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Katrina, Stephen and Carter. Also survived by his sister Lorein Arnott. Roly will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, especially Bob and Lori Brown their children Meaghan, Amber and Savannah who were considered family and Roly's best friend, his beloved golden retriever Casey. A long-time employee of Bell Canada, Roly was a proud hunter and fisherman, a member of the St. Catharines Game and Fish Association, and the Fort Erie Conservation Club. Always willing to lend a hand, Roly volunteered with the Boy Scouts of Canada, Junior Achievement and minor sports. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES, 1105 Benner Ave. entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 25th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Friday morning at 11 am. If so desired, donations to the St. Catharines Game and Fish Association or the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by the family12513344
